  1. OSU Livestock Judging Team posts first top five finish in a decade; sets new reasons mark

    COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Livestock Judging Team continued to make strides towards success with a fifth overall team finish at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Intercollegiate Livestock Judging Contest held on March 17th in Houston, Tx. En route to Ohio State’s first top five finish at a contest with more than 20 teams since 2004, the team also posted a new Buckeye reasons record at a major contest.

    Extension is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2014, and to coincide with that celebration, Ohio State University Extension is commemorating the milestone with the release of a new publication.

    Memories and Milestones of Ohio State University Extension 1905-2013 (143 pp., $10) helps tell the story of the rich history and key events that have shaped the organization.

  7. Steering committee named for Vice President’s Conversation on Extension for a 2nd Century

    During his Dec. 20, 2013, webinar, Vice President and Dean Bruce McPheron announced the formation of a steering committee that will provide leadership for the Vice President’s Conversation on Extension for a 2nd Century.

    The members of the steering committee that will convene in early 2014 are Graham Cochran (co-chair), Becky Nesbit (co-chair), Dan Herms, Greg Davis, Mark Light, Bruce Clevenger, Jamie Seger and Emily Adams.

  8. TechColumbus and Ohio State announce Technology Concept Fund

    Innovations with ties to The Ohio State University will get a financial boost from the new Technology Concept Fund, LLC. The million-dollar fund includes investments from Ohio State and Ohio Third Frontier. The Technology Concept Fund will be managed by TechColumbus.
