  1. 2014 Livestock Judging Season Ends with OSU’s Best Performance in 17 Years

    COLUMBUS, Ohio – One of The Ohio State University Livestock Judging Team’s most competitive seasons was capped off with a seventh place finish at the 109th National Collegiate Livestock Judging Contest held on Nov. 17, in Louisville, Ky., in conjunction with the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE).

  2. Top 15 ranking for study abroad, international students

    Ohio State is ranked in the top 10 nationally among doctoral institutions for the number of students studying abroad and is in the top 15 for its international student enrollment, according to a national report released Monday (11/17). Ohio State ranks 7th among the nation’s colleges and universities with 2,255 students studying abroad in 2012-13, a 31 percent increase over the previous year.  Visit the Office of International Affair's website for the full article.

  4. Top Performance in a Decade at the American Royal

    COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University Livestock Judging Team finished sixth at the American Royal Intercollegiate Livestock Judging contest held on Nov. 1, in Kansas City, Mo. This is the highest finish at the American Royal since 2004, when the team placed third overall.

  6. OSU Three-peats at Keystone

    COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University Livestock Judging Team won the Keystone International Livestock Exposition (KILE) Collegiate Livestock Judging contest on Oct. 4, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Exposition Center in Harrisburg, Penn.  The win is the third in a row for OSU at KILE, which is a first for the school. 

  7. OSU Livestock Judging Team Ties High Team Mark at National Barrow Show

    COLUMBUS, Ohio – The OSU Livestock Judging Team finished fourth at the National Barrow Show judging contest held on September 8th.  This performance ties the school’s previous high team mark set in 1994, which is the only other year OSU has finished in the top five at the contest.  In snapping the 20-year top five drought, the team came within 12 points of winning the event, and extended OSU’s top ten streak at the National Barrow Show to three; a first for the school boasting the second longest continuously competing livestock judging program in the nation.

  10. Harper awarded honorary doctorate by Purdue

    CFAES’s Jim Harper received an honorary doctorate in agriculture from Purdue University during spring commencement ceremonies at the West Lafayette, Indiana, campus in May. He retired last August as J.T. Parker Chair in Dairy Foods in the Department of Food Science and Technology.
