CFAES Diversity Catalyst Team honored

At the 2013 Diversity Leadership Symposium on April 12, Michelle Bondurant of Ohio State's Human Resources office made a surprise visit to announce that the CFAES Diversity Catalyst Team had been selected as a 2013 winner of the Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award for its efforts to enhance diversity and inclusion in CFAES.

The team was nominated by former CFAES dean Bobby Moser before his retirement. Support letters were written by OSU Extension Director Keith Smith; Mo Saif, who recently retired as head of OARDC's Food Animal Health Research Program; and Ryan Schmiesing, director of Communication and Technology. The selection was made by reviewers from the University Senate Diversity Committee.

On April 25, the team attended the Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award Luncheon to receive a plaque and a $1,200 award. The team will be recognized on the field during Ohio State's Oct. 19 football game with the University of Iowa.
