  1. Ohio State Ranks #1 in Big Ten for Short-Term Faculty-Led Education Abroad Participation

    The Ohio State University is ranked 2nd nationally among doctoral institutions for the number of students participating in short-term faculty-led education abroad programs, according to a national report released this week. 

    The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences is committed to helping our students take part in an international experience before they graduate. Every year we offer approximately 15 credit bearing education abroad programs within CFAES!

  2. Ohio State Students Successful at National Critique And Contest

    The Ohio State University chapter of the Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT) participated in the 2019 National Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (NACT) Critique & Contest. An award ceremony was held during the Ag Media Summit in Minneapolis, July 29-30, 2019.

    Cody McClain, a senior in agriscience education from Nevada, Ohio, has been selected for the Upper Division Agricultural Education Scholarship from the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE).

  4. 2018 CFAES Undergraduate Research Forum Highlights

    The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) hosted the 15th Annual CFAES Undergraduate Research Forum on Thursday afternoon, March 1, 2018, held in the Nationwide/Farm Bureau 4-H building. Fifty-three undergraduate student researchers from the CFAES, SENR, and ASC shared their research in a poster presentation format with faculty, staff, fellow students, and invited family members and guests.

  5. Heiby and Nicol Selected for National Agricultural Education Symposium

    Ohio State agriscience education students Logan Heiby and Frances Nicol were selected to attend the Future Agriscience Teacher (FAST) Symposium as part of the National Association of Agricultural Educators’ (NAAE) annual conference in December in Nashville, Tennessee.

     

  6. Farm Credit Mid-America Accepts Students to College Leaders Scholarship Program

    Louisville, Ky. (September 6, 2017) – Four students from The Ohio State University were accepted to the Farm Credit Mid-America College Leaders Scholarship Program, which provides professional development opportunities to students pursuing careers in agriculture.

    Ohio State agriscience education students Haley Sherman and Sarah Landis were selected to attend the Future Agriscience Teacher (FAST) Symposium as part of the National Teach Ag Day celebration in September.

  8. Ohio State CFAES Student Kelse Brown Selected as Nationwide Teach Ag Ambassador

    Kelse Brown, of Edgerton, Ohio, was recently selected as a National Teach Ag Ambassador, an outreach program of the National Council for Agricultural Education, led by the National Association of Agricultural Educators to promote the agricultural education profession.

  9. OSU MANRRS Chapter Wins Again

    Congratulations to the Ohio State MANRRS (Multicultural Students in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences) chapter for being named the 2017 Region V Outstanding MANRRS Chapter of the Year. This is their third consecutive year for recognition as Outstanding chapter in the Midwest Region. MANRRS is led by President, Jazmine Mincy an Animal Sciences major.

    The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) hosted the 14th Annual CFAES Undergraduate Research Forum on Tuesday afternoon, February 28, 2017, held in the Nationwide/Farm Bureau 4-H building.  Forty-four undergraduate student researchers from CFAES and the School of Environment and Natural Resources shared their research in a poster presentation format with faculty, staff, fellow students, and invited family members and guests.
