Getting In

Whether you're transferring from another Ohio State major or another campus or university, students come from all over to earn their degree at Ohio State. We want you to feel at home. Simply follow these steps and know we’re here to help:

Know Your Deadlines

Select our college’s name (College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences) on your admissions application if you are interested in food, agriculture, or the environment. Also, be sure to indicate which major interests you (reference our major codes list).

Benefits of doing this are:

  • You will be eligible to apply for our scholarships.
  • We will be able to keep in touch with you about other special opportunities.

If admitted to the Ohio State Columbus campus, you will automatically be admitted to the major you chose (unless you need to complete requirements for the Professional Golf Management major).

Get Credit

Get credit for college classes that you have completed at other institutions.

Attend Orientation

Your final step toward officially becoming a Buckeye is attending orientation—a fun, exciting time for you to start planning the next step of your life.
