Minimum requirements to Campus Change
Students are eligible for campus change to the Columbus campus with:
- a minimum of 30 credits earned post-high school (earned after high school graduation)
- at least a 2.00 cumulative Ohio State GPA.
Step 1 - Meet with your current, regional campus academic advisor
In order to initiate the campus change process and ensure you are receiving the best assistance, students are required to meet with their academic advisor on the regional campus.
If you are not sure who to contact on the regional campus, please contact Ben Carignan, CFAES Academic Counselor and Campus Change Coordinator by email Carignan.1@osu.edu or call 614-292-1734 for assistance.
Step 2 - Register for Columbus campus classes
Registering for classes at the Columbus campus is completed via Buckeye Link. Work with your advisor on the regional campus, if you are not sure how to schedule or what courses you should consider.
Your regional campus advisor and Ben Carignan, CFAES Academic Counselor on the Columbus campus, can assist in connecting you with an academic advisor in your intended major on the Columbus campus. This will ensure you are scheduling the appropriate courses for your major and degree progress.
PLEASE NOTE: If you do not meet campus change requirements by the start of the semester you intend to campus change the Columbus campus courses will be dropped and you will be reconnected with the appropriate regional campus advisor. Additionally, It is important to check your Ohio State email on a regular basis for updates and important information in support of your campus change request and processing.
