Testimony From Our Students:
"The CFAES Early Arrival Program eased my apprehenison about starting college classes. It gave me a realistic view of what to expect, and I got to meet the amazing faculty and professors in my department, as well as my future classmates." - Ashley
"Attending the CFAES Early Arrival Program was an amazing experience. I was able to meet so many new people and be introduced to all different kinds of resources that would help me succeed and become adjusted to my new life here at Ohio State. This was also a great way for me to start putting myself out there after not having known anyone when I first moved in." -Jordan

Peer Mentor Program
The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) Peer Mentors are returning upperclassmen who serve as a contact person to new students, first-year students, transfer students, transition students, and honors students in the College.
You will be assigned a CFAES Peer Mentor to help you through your first year at OSU. This mentor will be several things for you including: answering all of your questions about campus, the college, co-curricular activities; connect you to faculty and staff; help answer questions about policies and procedures (example: class scheduling), etc. Your peer mentor will be your go-to person in CFAES!
One of the first things they will do is reach out to you to answer any of your pre-arrival questions. Once on campus, they will attend welcome events with you, show you around campus and where your classes take place, show you the dining halls, introduce you to new people, and generally be there as your first contact/friend at OSU. They will also attend the FAES 1100 recitation sessions with you. You MUST be in contact with them before the semester starts as they help to take you to welcome events on the Monday before classes start. Feel free to reach out to them with any and all questions you have and they can help get you to the right person or place.
