North Queensland boasts some of the most diverse and remarkable natural resources in the southern hemisphere. Known as the Sunshine State, Queensland is home to lush green rainforests, the remote Outback, and the spectacular marine diversity of the Great Barrier Reef.

    Have you ever wanted to study while on safari? With this program you could do just that! The goal of this program is to help students learn and exhibit an understanding of exotic animal species behavior and welfare considerations in the context of: 1) variation in environmental habitats (open range, controlled contact, and zoological settings, etc.), 2) management of animal health and well-being, and 3) comparisons with domesticated species.

    Brush up on your interview skills with one of our Career Advisors by signing up for a mock interview! Each mock interview is a 30 minute appointment with a FAES Career Advisor. You will spend 20 minutes answering questions like you are in an interview with an employer and the other 10 minutes will be time for feedack from the Career Advisor.

    The goal of the India education abroad program is to provide students a combination of lecture and field-based experience that will educate them about agriculture and engineering sectors of India, an emerging economy. During the program, students will visit national agricultural, food, biomedical, and manufacturing facilities (see below for more details) and Punjab Agricultural University.  These activities will provide students with an overview of food and manufacturing systems in India.

    This program is designed to give students a different perspective of agriculture and other economic sectors that influence food, fiber, and fuel. Additionally, this program will serve to educate and allow students to experience the various applications of agriculture and construction on varying scenarios, especially within a socioeconomic and ethnically diverse context. Through participating in this program students will explore culture outside of the classroom and view, first-hand, applications of agriculture based on varying available resources and needs of the population and/or country.
