    This 3.5-week experiential program uses the theme of sustainable development to explore the relationship between people and their natural environment. North Queensland boasts some of the most diverse and remarkable natural resources in the southern hemisphere. Known as the Sunshine State, Queensland is home to lush green rainforests, the remote Outback, and the spectacular marine diversity of the Great Barrier Reef.

    The goal of the India education abroad program is to provide students a combination of lecture and field-based experience that will educate them about agriculture and engineering sectors of India, an emerging economy. During the program, students will visit national agricultural, food, biomedical, and manufacturing facilities (see below for more details) and Punjab Agricultural University.  These activities will provide students with an overview of food and manufacturing systems in India.

    This 4-week study abroad program will examine the natural (and related social) history and resource conservation of New Zealand's South Island. The goal of this course is using the New Zealand case to integrate the different perspectives of diverse natural, biological, and social science disciplines to improve understanding of relationships between human societies and the natural environment. Assessment will be delivered through educational travel, field trips, active participation, presentations and seminars, and coursework exercises.

You will spend 20 minutes answering questions like you are in an interview with an employer and the other 10 minutes will be time for feedack from the Career Advisor.

    Evolution in Darwin’s World and Ours provides an opportunity for students to learn how evolutionary theory relates to all careers and even every-day life. Students studying biology, medicine, history, literature, philosophy, etc. will all be able to relate to discussions on historical and modern interpretations of the origins of life, scientific inquiry, and the acceptance of new ideas.

    The food and drink culture of Italy, one of Europe’s most exciting culinary destinations, provides an accessible environment in which to experience the charms of small-scale traditional fare while studying a range of food marketing channels and international food policy questions. In particular the role of nutrition in the Mediterranean diet provides a background to explore retail and restaurant strategies for traditional, crafted foods spanning historic outdoor markets, metro stores, hypermarkets, and food service of all styles.
