Co-Producer Interest

We are excited about your interest in becoming a co-producer for the 63rd annual College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Recognition Banquet. The position of Co-Producer is of great importance in making the banquet successful, and much will be asked of you if you are honored by being selected for this position.

Co-Producers will be responsible for leading a team in coordinating media capture needs for the banquet program in response to requests of other sub-committees.  This will include photography and multimedia, event performance and staging, compiling information and graphics, as well as the presentation during the banquet. A more detailed description is here. This is a vital part of the program; we are looking for students who are committed to the recognition program, as well as creative, good at delegating, and manage their time well. In addition, there is a lot of video and presentation editing, so being able to use the programs and software associated with that is essential. As part of the selection process, we would like applicants to bring in an example of video work (no longer than 5 minutes) that they have done in the past. If you do not have one, you may create one based around last year’s program. An example would be any short video using iMovie, Premium Pro, Premier Elements, Final Cut, or Movie Maker.

Your interview time will last approximately ten minutes. Please be on time for your interview and dress in business attire.

The interview will go as follows. Once you have introduced yourself to the panel of judges, you will be asked to present your example work and describe your production experience in the past. We ask that you bring your example work on your own computer to ensure that the software is compatible with your presentation. You will also answer extemporaneous questions from the judges.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. Good luck and we look forward to seeing you on October 12th!
