Do you enjoy sharing your passion for Ohio State with others? Would you be willing to show high school students what it's like to be a Buckeye? The "Experience Ohio State for a Day" (EOFD) Program allows prospective students to get a feel for what college is really like. Potential students visit CFAES frequently, therefore, we are in need of volunteers to show these students around campus.
EOFD Hosts volunteer to have prospective high school students shadow them from around 11:00 a.m. until about 1 p.m. for 2-3 weekdays each semester. Hosting is very flexible and can be adjusted to fit your schedule. Hosts are encouraged to take potential students to sit in on a class, see the Oval, the Union, a room in Nosker House, and to eat lunch at an on-campus dining location (lunch is free for the host and shadow). Hosting is open to any CFAES student who has completed at least one semester of classes on the Columbus campus. Please reach out to Josie McDowell (email@example.com) if you have any questions and to turn in your hosting form. Animal Sciences students interested in serving as EOFD hosts should consult Mariette Benage (firstname.lastname@example.org) about their interest.
Depending on prospective students' areas of interest, we may not need your assistance in a given semester or we may only need your assistance seldomly.
